No matter how many times we face it in our personal and professional lives, death is the one event which stirs emotion, grief, anxiety, grief, and fear. We as long term care professionals have a responsibility and an opportunity to guide our clients and their families toward a more meaningful and fulfilling death experience.

This session will offer a wide range of experiences and insights, and also allow for interactive opportunities to share issues of importance. It will allow participants to learn how to help families to transition successfully from fear and loss to acceptance, affirmation, comfort, and growth.

This session will be conducted by Joan Richardson, RN, MSN, CCM. Joan has 30 years of experience as a clinical nurse specialist in gerontology, family facilitation, and care management. She is founder and past president of the MidAtlantic Chapter of The National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, a member of the Case Management Society of America, The American Geriatric Society, and the American Society of Aging.

THIS PROGRAM IS FREE TO N.A.R.C. MEMBERS
($39 FOR NON-MEMBERS).
